The RAV4 comes in six trim levels, from the wallet-friendly LE to the top-of-the-line Limited. The RAV4 has a 2.5L 4-cylinder engine under the hood for 203 hp and 184 lb-ft torque. Featuring an 8-speed automatic transmission and an estimated 27 MPG city / 33 MPG highway, the RAV4 is also a sensible pick.
Altogether, both the Equinox and RAV4 are very good performers in most conditions.

We have no major complaints about the RAV4’s interior. With dual-zone automatic climate control, 8-way adjustable driver’s seat, and plenty of USB ports, cupholders, storage compartments and the like, the cabin is both comfortable and functional. 6-speaker audio, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, and an 8-inch multimedia display and more comprise a serviceable infotainment setup.
Chevrolet is highly regarded for iconic American styling, craftsmanship, value, and power. The 2025 Equinox upholds the reputation. The 2025 Toyota RAV4 is also very well equipped. You can’t go wrong with either, but in our opinion, the Chevy Equinox can’t be beat.
